I've not used them in a snag area with a locked clutch, but I always peg my pod down. As when you pick your rods up you don't pick the pod up too
It was a small revolution when we launched the P8 Magnetic Butt Rest. Until then there was neither a magnetic butt rest on the market, nor a butt rest that fits every rod so easily and where you don't have to fumble the rod blank into a rod rest that is too narrow - because they were either too narrow or much too wide. The P8, on the other hand, fits every rod diameter as it consists of two parts. One part is attached to the rod blank and is attached there with a rubber bungee, the other part is a simple plate that is screwed onto the bankstick or buzzer bar. Powerful magnets are housed in both parts, which always steer the rod to the right place, as if by magic. For most types of anglers and styles of fishing, the P8 Magnetic Butt Rest is a perfect fit. Of course, the holding power of the magnets is not infinite, and you should adjust the brake setting accordingly, but that is the case with most rod rests. Once you have tried it, you will be amazed by the elegant and supple way of rod rest and will not want anything else. .

More than a plate that is screwed onto the bankstick or the buzzer bar is not necessary.
The nice thing about this system is that the P8 butt rest can also be attached anywhere on the rod. Like here the attachment far in front directly behind the reel seat.
In contrast, the breakpoint in this setup is pushed back. Sometimes you have to adapt the setup to the local conditions. With the P8 you are more flexible than ever before.
These magnetic setups are slimline and inobtrusive compared to traditional butt grips, making it easier to pack away your buzzer bars or banksticks into tighter spaces. The ND Magnetic Butt Rests are particularly small when compared to other butt rests designed to be rock solid.
There are two different bungee cords included. The one shown here has a grip point at the end, which makes it look a bit larger and also fits very thick rod blanks.
The O-rings that are also included fit thinner, modern rods. Incidentally, there is a replacement in almost every hardware store if an O-ring should tear.
The P8 also works great as a holder for a landing net. In principle, all sorts of things can be attached with it.
Magnetic is always smart because the connections always work and find each other by themselves. The plate is also slightly curved inwards, which makes it easier to adapt to different angles.
Same as the alarm connector, fantastic and definitely worth the money

Hi, firstly I should point out this product is expressly designed as a rear rod rest for use on a pod or a bankstick so although my answer is provisionally yes I'm not endorsing it for any other purpose that the manufacturer intended, the part of this item that will fit a 22mm bed hair leg is the larger adjustable (2 positions) band , this can then be attached to the lugs on the top half of the rod rest and being magnetic it will lock into the bottom half with the pod/bankstick thread, having tried it for myself on my korum chair with similar diameter legs I'm not sure of how this works re: a fishing situation but hope this answers your question
Yes they do. Funny enough I was using them for the first time today pike fishing and they were brilliant.
They should do as top is rubber strap.?....
have not put them on yet but they go under clip on one side, over rod and under the over the over clip.
