If buying 2 you get top and bottom magnets x 2 plus 2 rubber straps as shown plus 2 other ring type rubbers. Have used these for a few sessions and they are very good.

Not having caught a fish of that size yet, i can not answer. I can state that they seem very strong and secure.

They are surprisingly resilient at keeping the rod on the stick! It is good for anything up to 12-14 lbs (may be more but not caught higher since getting them!). I would recommend them

They were made for modern skinny things but they easily take my cork covered Bruce and Walker ( old school!) - they are super strong so you have to hold the bank stick under normal operations - definately stop your rod flying into the water!

Good question! Yes they are. They are super strongmagnets held onto the rod with rubber grips. 45 degrees is quite severe - not sure i have ever done that sort of angle -So the reasoning is very sound that it feeks like the magnets might not be fully in contact at 45degrees. In practice though the rubber grips flex as the magnets are so strong - so the rods are still effectively held ridged at any angle. In fact i use a bungy cord to peg the pod base down as when you lift the rod it sometimes lifts the pod! They are really good - for me they have saved a big take on several occaisons during the middle of the night.

No any UK_( standard bsp fitting) bank stick threaded stick will fit these- just like any other standard fitting

No the rubber clip with a magnet goes over the butt of your rod the other magnet screws into the rest. So when u get a tale all you are doing is lifting up the rod and the 2 magnets separate. Great bit of kit.
